BEARD, Dale A. 57, of New Carlisle, Ohio passed away December 1, 2007. He was born July 7, 1950 in Springfield, Ohio the son of Carl & Geneva (Davis) Beard. He was an electrical engineer at Alektronics, Beavercreek. He was a graduated in 1968 from Tecumseh High School and General Motors Institute of Technology in 1973. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Ruth A.; his father and step mother, Carl & Joyce Beard; a sister, Barbara & Kenny King; sisters-in-law, Anne Bereda, Lois (Mike) Snyder and Mary Chambers; many nieces and nephews who lovingly knew him as Uncle Fuzzie, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, a brother, Steve Beard, and in-laws, Ed & Frances Straukamp. A gathering of family and friends will be held at 5-8 p.m. Tuesday December 4, 2007 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN, DUNBAR & FRALEY FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. BRANDENBURG, Calvin L. 58, of Springfield died Sunday, July 22, 2007 in his home following a several month battle with cancer. He was born March 23, 1949 in Elkins, West Virginia the son of Calvin C. and Mildred L. (Louk) Brandenburg. Calvin was a 1968 graduate of Tecumseh High School and retired from International Truck and Engine with thirty-two years service. He then went to work part time for EMCO Transportation. He attended Southgate Baptist Church and was a member of Moose Lodge 536, Eagles 397 and the Union Club. Calvin had been an avid musician, playing in Country Rock bands for the last thirty-two years. He played the Pedal Steel Guitar in venues all around the Miami Valley, and for many years was in the Crystal River Band and most recently in the Rite Stuff Band. He also had a great interest in electronics and was A-Plus Certified as a Computer Operator and in Computer Networking. He is survived by his wife Fabenne (Valentine) Brandenburg, with whom he celebrated thirty-seven years of marriage on July 11, 2007; two daughters and sons-in-law Adrienne M. and Joseph Reisinger of Springfield, Andrea L. and Jeff McConkey of St. Paris, Ohio; one sister and brother-in-law Cindy and Willard Laymaster of Xenia; two brothers and sisters-in-law Charlie and Cathy Brandenburg of Eaton, Ohio, Curt and Valerie Brandenburg of Dayton; three grandchildren Andrew Reisinger, Mackenzie Brandenburg and Connor McConkey; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Sam Louk.

CARBONE, James B. Age 57, of Vandalia, passed away Friday, December 28, 2007 at Vandalia Park Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. He was born January 17, 1950 in Dayton, OH, son of the late Vincent & Ruth (Typanski) Carbone. Jim was a 1968 graduate of Tecumseh High School, a 1972 graduate of Wright State University and a member of St. Christopher Catholic Church. Prior to Jim's illness, he worked 10 years as a claims representative with the Social Security Administration. Preceded in death by his sister, Karen, Jim is survived by his wife, Cynthia (Mazzone) of Vandalia; 2 children, Jacqueline and Stephen, both at home; 1 brother, Mike Carbone; 1 sister, Sylvia Adkins; his mother-in-law, Colette Mazzone; 3 brothers-in- law, Dan Mazzone (Joanne), Dave Mazzone (Vicky), and John Mazzone; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday, January 2, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Vandalia with Fr. Francis Keferl officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 am until time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Huntington Disease Society of America, 505 Eighth Ave., Ste. 902, New York, NY 10018 or to Hospice of Dayton in Jim's memory. Robert "Bob" Christmas, 55, of New Carlisle, died suddenly Tuesday, November 15, 2005 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born March 27, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio to Melvin and Geneva (Morrell) Christmas who survive him and reside in New Carlisle. He was a former owner of Trostel, Chapman and Christmas Funeral Home, New Carlisle, a United States Air Force Vietnam Veteran, a member of the First Baptist Church.

Michael Lee Conley
33, of 326 Drake Ave., New Carlisle, died early Tuesday morning, April 15, 1984 in Mercy Medical Center. He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Anna) Conley, New Carlisle. He was a 1968 graduate of Tecumseh High School, a Vietnam Army Veteran, a member of Aeries No, 3491 FOE, New Carlisle. Survivors include his parents; a sister, Mrs. Jerry (Beverly) Razor, New Carlisle; a niece, Nicole Razor and nephew, Brent Razor, both of New Carlisle; a girlfriend, Sheryl Davis, New Carlisle. Michael J. Croner 55, of New Carlisle, Ohio died Monday July 25, 2005 at his residence. He was born on Christmas day December 25, 1949 in Dayton, Ohio the son of the late Alan J. and Erlyne J (Stevens) Croner, His arrival was special in that not only was it Christmas day but it was also his parents wedding anniversary. He was a retired Electronics Engineer with thirty years of service at Wright Patterson Air Force Base Research Laboratory. While there he worked with airborne communications equipment and intelligence agencies within the United States and several foreign countries. He was a graduate of Tecumseh High School and Wright State University with a BS degree in Systems Engineering. During his life he traveled the world for both business and pleasure. He is survived by his brother, Richard and his wife Jan of Houston, Texas; two nephews, Matthew and Scott, and is wife, Janty all of St Louis, MO. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 4 p.m. July 29, 2005 at the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN & CHRISTMAS FUNERAL HOME, New Carlisle, Ohio. Burial at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be ohe hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.

Linda Kay Ellis 51, of Xenia, Ohio, died Sunday, July 22, 2001 at 6:45 p.m. in Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. She was born May 28, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of the late Robert L. Ellis Sr. and Martha J (King) Ellis. She was a 1968 Tecumseh High School Graduate, and an employee of Delphi of Kettering. She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Robert L, Jr. and Karen Ellis of Donnelsville, two nieces, Renee and Robyn; nephew, Robert L. Ellis III; many other nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends; special friends, Sue Newberry of Xenia, Ohio, Harriett Thomas and their extended families; god-sister, Judy Slupe and her daughter, Megan. Services will be held Thursday, July 26, 2001 at 11 a.m. in the TROSTEL, CHAPMAN & CHRISTMAS FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Richard McIntosh officiating. Richard (Rick) Estes
52, of Medway, Ohio, died at 6:45 a.m. 2002 at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton, Ohio. He was born April 25, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Millard F and Doris (Sturtlz) Estes. Rick was a 1968 graduate of Tecumseh High School, a graduate of ICB, and was the voice of Kil-Kare Speedway for seven years. For many years he was the Deputy Registrar for Xenia and was involved with many Xenia community organizations, such a s Rotary, Chamber of Commerce, Old Fashion Days, and participated in local theatre and politics. In a addition to his father and step-mother, Millard and Charlotte Estes, he is survived by his wife. Evelyn “Evvie” Estes; two sisters, Lois (tom) Goldsberry and Sandra (Mark) Coppess; step-sister, Cassie (steve0 Davis; step-brothers, Coby and Jeff Stover; special niece, Vikki (Robert) Rife; mother-in-law Delores (Mike) Hausman; father-in-law Royce (Evelyn) Miller; sisters-in-law, Elaine (Sean) McMichael and Edwina (Scott) Hanson; many nieces, nephews and other relatives and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris and his first wife, Vickye. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. at Faith Community United Methodist Church, 100 Country Club Drive, Xenia, Ohio with Pastor Jack Drodge officiating. Ronald “Ron” FAIG
55, of Temple Terrace, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 4, 2005. He is survived by his loving daughter, Sarah Faig of Tampa; Mother, Lucille Faig of Hamilton, Ohio; brother, James Faig of Tennessee; sister, Suzanne Walker of Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by hit father, Ellsworth Faig. He was a graduate of Tecumseh High School and Kent State University, Ohio. Ron was employed by the University of South Florida as a media Relations Specialist for over 10 years. Ron’s attitude outlook on life during his 53 year battle with polio inspired everyone he met. His life was dedicated to his daughter, Sarah and her well being. A memorial service sill be held at Medway UMC at 4 p.m. Tuesday August 9, 2005. The family will receive friends before and after the service. In lieu of flowers; the family suggests donations be make to the local March of Dimes.

Rebecca Lynn Kame
33, of 201 Villa Dr., New Carlisle, died at 8:10 p.m., April 18th in Community Hospital following several months of failing health. She was born in Springfield, Feb 15.1950, a daughter of Lester Richard and Patricia (Weldon) Kame. She was a 1968 Graduate of Tecumseh High School and attended Rhema Bible College, Tulsa, OK for 1 year and had received a grant to complete her higher education. Becky worked as a lab technician at Meadow Gold Dairy, Dayton for 11 years. Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, John and Cheryl Linkhart; one nephew; Robbie Linkhart, all of Springfield,; paternal grandmother, Mrs. Lester (Hazel) Kame of Springfield,; several aunts and uncles. Friends may call at the Littleton Funeral Home from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home with the Rev Laurence T Rugh pastor First Lutheran Church officiating. Capt. Jerry Lucas
47 of New Carlisle, OH passed away Wednesday, September 25, 1996 at 8:50 a.m. after a short illness, with family members present at his home. He was born October 19, 1948; in Springfield, Ohio the son of Harold and Mildred (Millie) McPherson Lucas. In addition to his parents of New Carlisle, OH his as survived by a daughter, Tracy L. Lucas and her husband Tim Jones both of the United States Army stationed at Ft. Hood, TX; one stepson, one stepdaughter; brother, D. R. Lucas of Springfield, Ohio, fiancé, Sharon Miller of Dayton, OH; sister Linda Goenner and her husband, Mike of New Carlisle; special friend Sandra Campbell of Dayton, Ohio; special aunt Margie McPerson Parrill of Springfield, Ohio; Many nieces; nephews; and cousins. He would like to acknowledge the many members of the New Carlisle Fire Department/EMS for being the most important part of his live for 20 years, the staff associates and workers at Rust Industrial or 10 years. Jerry was associated with the New Carlisle Fire Department/EMS, Rust Industrial Services, Security National Bank, Springfield Clark County HAZ-MAT, and the Clark County Fireman’s Association. McNUTT, Lois Jean (Oskowski), 52, of Valdosta, died Friday, November 29, 2002, at her home. She was born Aug. 29, 1950 in Fairfax, Calif., to the late Paul V. and Marvis Lorene Oskowski and had lived in Valdosta since 1978. Mrs. McNutt was a certified medical assistant and a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband, David McNutt of Valdosta; two daughters, Christa McNutt and LeAnne McNutt, both of Savannah; and a cousin, Chris Oskowski of Ambridge, Penn. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:10 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2002, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with Father John O'Brien officiating. A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Monday at the church with visitation following until 8:30 p.m. Mrs. McNutt will be cremated following the service and the burial of her cremains will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at McLane Riverview Memorial Gardens. PHARES, Judy E. age 56, of New Carlisle, passed away Friday, March 3, 2006 at 5:07 pm in the Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. She was born in Springfield, Ohio on February 6, 1950, the daughter of Robert L. and Miriam (Crow) Phares. She was a graduate of Tecumseh High School Class of 1968 and a majorette in the marching band. Member of Order of Eastern Star Home City Chapter Springfield. She was past worthy Matron of both the Home City Chapter and the New Carlisle Chapter of Order of Eastern Star. She loved to ride her motorcycle and enjoyed bowling. Member of the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed ceramics and has worked at the Setting Place in New Carlisle. Survivors include a son, Zachary Webster, of Enon, Ohio; two daughters, Cassandra Fox, of Dayton and Allison Foster, of Enon, Ohio; one granddaughter, Madison Elaine who was the light of her life; two sisters, Roberta Mays, of New Carlisle and Karen Wolfberg, of Vienna, Virginia; two brothers, David Phares and Herbert Phares, both of New Carlisle; her mom, Marian Phares and her good friend from Eastern Star, John Stokes, both of Springfield; several nieces and nephews, one great niece, four great nephews and five cousins; an uncle Bill (Dorothy) Phares, of California; two aunts, Katie Crow, of Enon and Dora Phares, of Donnelsville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Robert L. and Miriam Phares, also by two uncles, Jack Phares and Mick Crow.
